The title of this study of boats in Mevagissey harbour comes from a very non-PC song of the 1930s, which contained the immortal line, "When the darkies beat their feet on the Mississipi mud". The words may be offensive but the rhythm is impeccable, so I've kept the one but not the other. Acrylic on canvas board. 445 x 545mm. Mounted and framed, £850. |
