Dozemary Pool

Dozemary Pool

High on Bodmin Moor, this pool is traditionally regarded as bottomless. One of the evil Tregeagle's punishments in the legend was to empty it with a leaky limpet shell. Another legend has it that this is where Excalibur was thrown after the death of Arthur.

Whatever the legends say, on a clear day the quality of the light here is quite special.

Taken on a Rolleicord II, Schneider Xenar 50mm lens, on 6x6cm Fujii Velvia.
